New Garden Center for Coppelmans in Veldhoven

Construction and execution
The greenhouse is built with a black-coated structure featuring large spans of 12.80 m, resulting in an open and flexible floor plan. The trusses in the retail area are designed as lattice trusses, while those in the warehouse are IPE trusses. Part of the structure includes a second floor for offices and future purposes.
The overhanging roofs at the front façade are supported by wooden trusses that contribute to the natural appearance and strengthen the connection between the building and its surroundings.

Sustainability and energy performance
The design strongly focuses on energy efficiency and sustainable material use. The greenhouse is equipped with solar panels, and the façades and roofs are constructed with insulated panels, insulated glass, and polycarbonate multiwall sheets. The polycarbonate allows beautiful natural light to enter, creating a pleasant atmosphere inside the building.

Space and functionality
The new garden center has a total area of over 9,000 m², complemented by a 1,500 m² upper floor and 1,000 m² outdoor space. The layout provides room for a wide range of home and garden products, atmospheric displays, and seasonal shows. Additionally, there is a large professional catering facility with an outdoor terrace overlooking the fields of Brabant.

The Coppelmans family operates eight garden centers in the Eindhoven region and is known for its extensive range of greenery, atmospheric displays, and annual Christmas shows. With the new building in Veldhoven, they take an important step toward a future-proof, sustainable, and experience-oriented concept.
