Completed projects in The Netherlands
Below is a survey of completed projects in The Netherlands.
The last phase was of course also realised by Termoflor...
Tuincentrum De Carlton (Netherlands)
Having worked on projects in different parts of Europe, we are pleased to be able to do some work in the Dutch Westland region again. We will soon start work on expanding Marcel Koene’s Tuincentrum De Carlton.
Tuinland Groningen (NL)
In October 2007 Mr Drenth opened his 3rd ultra-large garden centre in the north of the Netherlands. Remarkable features of this project are the use of different shades of green, 26-mm-thick insulating glass on the roof and an impressive entrance. The complex has a total area of around 14,000 m2.
Groenrijk Leidsche Rijn (NL)
This branch of the Groenrijk chain of garden centres at Leidsche Rijn forms the centre of the largest housing project in Europe. The garden centre will have a covered area of 5,000 m².
Intratuin Barneveld (NL)
Intratuin Barneveld is the number one in Europe, a first-class example of garden centre architecture. The employed materials, the green curved trusses and the entire shop furnishing make for an inviting, highly contemporary atmosphere. In the middle of the garden centre is a raised platform measuring 2000 m² where luxury home furnishing articles are sold.Intratuin Duiven (NL)
The eye catcher of this mega Intratuin will be a central entrance canopy with a width and height of 15 m. This Plaza will have a green-coated curved truss structure creating a look and atmosphere reminiscent of international shopping centres.
Intratuin Heerlen (NL)
Intratuin Heerlen with a surface of approx. 6,000 m² is mainly covered with polycarbonate sheets and glass walls. Extraordinary are the so-called ‘space-frames’, which supports the overhanging roof.
Europatuin De Bilt (NL)
A conspicuous feature of this 4,200 m² large garden centre is the curved canopy over the entrance. But the garden centre’s interior is also quite remarkable, with its raised platform floor and great height. The new parts were built in two successive phases without a break, so that the sales activities could meanwhile continue as usual.Groenrijk Middelburg (NL)
In Middelburg Thermoflor has build a new Groenrijk garden centre. The owners, Gilbert Geldof and Michiel Bleyenbergh, previously had a garden centre in Vlissingen, which was called Tuincentrum Maritima. Groenrijk Middelburg is a broad-span greenhouse with an area of 4700 m² at a top location featuring other peripheral retail traders.Intratuin Almelo (NL)
This Intratuin garden centre, with an area of 11,500 m², lies along the Almelo ring road. The gutter height is 4.50 m. The garden centre has a cold and a warm section plus a 2000 m² outdoor area. Beneath the central entrance canopy is a flower shop with offices above it.
Intratuin Rosmalen (NL)
Thermoflor has expanded the Rosmalen Intratuin branch with an 'Open Sky' greenhouse measuring just over 1,100 m². The existing outdoor garden, which used to be where the customers entered the garden centre, has now been covered with a greenhouse with an eaves height of 4.30 m. The Open Sky system means that the atmosphere of an outdoor garden can be created when the weather’s fine.Tuincentrum de Boet (NL)
What started off as a small shop has over the years grown into one of the largest garden centres in the Netherlands, attracting a tremendous regional clientele. The orange steel structure and screens give this garden centre a welcoming look. The structure comprises more than 2000 m2 of Open Sky® greenhouses.Tuincentrum Mollema (NL)
In March 2005 a new garden centre Tuincentrum Mollema has been opened at Dokkum, in the very north of the Netherlands. The new building, with a total area of 3372 m², will comprise 4 joined roofs with a width of 15 m and a eaves height of 4.50 m. The green glass, the Red Cedar truss at the entrance and the silver grey sandwich panels will give the garden centre a contemporary look.
Tuincentrum Wolters (NL)
Tuincentrum Wolters lies at the Dutch-German border. The main focus of this 13,000 m² large garden centre is its range of green products. The garden centre was built in several phases; the illustrated part was completed in the past year.
TuineXtra Noordwijk (NL)
For Mr P. Caspers, the owner of TuineXtra in Noordwijk, we have built new roofs with a span width of 12.80 m to replace the old smaller Venlo roofing system. A diamond-shaped entrance and coloured glass give this garden centre a beautiful green look. The structure includes 1500 m2 of cabrio greenhouses.
TuinWereld Wychen (NL)
Characteristic of the Wijchen TuinWereld garden centre is the high entrance canopy dividing the centre into a cold and a warm part. The canopy is 15 m wide and 12 m high. Beneath the canopy are two floors furnished as an office and a sales area for exclusive articles.
