Current projects

Groen-Direkt - Hazerswoude (NL)

Groen-Direkt ranks among the largest garden-plant suppliers in Europe, catering to wholesalers and garden centres. We are currently building new accommodation for all the company’s logistic functions. The new building, which will measure 14,000 m², will also host thirty sample fairs a year. The roofs are 16 m wide and 96 m long. Thanks to the use of large 24-m bridges the building will contain only 23 box girders.

Blumen Ostmann - Bad Zwischenahn (DE)

Blumen Ostmann asked us to create a more or less identical copy of the building we completed in Wildeshausen last year. The new shop is being built in Bad Zwischenahn. It will be the fifth branch of the successful north German entrepreneur, who is very satisfied with his cooperation with Thermoflor. The shop, which will measure 3,400 m², will arise on a broad, shallow plot of land. It is scheduled to open its doors to the public in March 2012.

Plantasjen Kongsberg (NO)

The striking entrance of the new 2,500-m2-large Plantasjen establishment is a real eye-catcher. Thermoflor has installed an energy-saving, environmentally-friendly heating system for the first time in Norway. The system stores energy in the surrounding rocks and includes three heat pumps and a heating water buffer (1000 litres). An electric boiler serves as a back-up heating system.

GroenRijk Velserbroek (NL)

This new branch of the GroenRijk chain of garden centres will be opened mid-March. It is a remarkably stunning building based on our Nature concept, incorporating lots of durable wood and natural materials. Behind the imposing entrance with its large canopies are five roofs with a width of 15 m each. The insulated sandwich panels and the 32-mm-thick polycarbonate plates ensure minimum heating costs.

Intratuin Weert (NL)

In six phases the branch of the Intratuin chain of garden centres in the town of Weert is being completely refurbished. The owner, Chris Brans, asked us to replace the old Venlo-style greenhouses by modern greenhouses with a span width of 16 m. They will turn this Intratuin branch into a beautiful establishment with a modern design incorporating sandwich and Resoplan panels and green insulating glass. The aim is to ensure that shoppers will experience as little inconvenience as possible during the six phases of the work.
