Petrivo’s new showroom to have an extra high heated greenhouse for tropical trees (BE)
Petrivo, a company in Belgium, imports and acclimatises tropical and Mediterranean plants. In the almost thirty years since its establishment as a tomato nursery, the company has evolved into the number-one specialist in large tropical and Mediterranean trees. Until now, the trees have always been potted, pruned, acclimatised and prepared for sale in the company’s conservatories.
We are now in the process of building an entirely new showroom with greenhouses measuring 6500 m2 for Petrivo. The greenhouse roofs have a span width of 16 metres. A remarkable aspect of the new build’s design is a high heated greenhouse, made-to-measure for the large tree species. The 1500 m2 showroom features a black coated steel structure, an extra floor and an asymmetrical roof. The old conservatories have been demolished to be replaced by the new build a short distance away. We will be completing its construction this summer.
Roel Peeters, the company’s managing-director, is very satisfied: "I’m impressed by the building’s insulation and the excellent finishing of the edges and the entire structure, all most professionally carried out by Thermoflor’s staff".
